For the fifth straight year Pilots for Kids Boise raised funds to purchase toys which we donated during our visit to the St. Luke's Idaho Elks Children's Hospital in downtown Boise, Idaho. On December 14th we were the second group aside from the Boise Fire Department to visit kids and their families in person since COVID precautions went into effect, thanks to the great team of Child Life Specialists from St. Luke's. On December 17th we also showed up to donate toys to St. Luke's Santa's Toy Box, which is an amazing program providing items to kids and their families across the state network of St. Luke's hospitals. Many pilots from SkyWest, Horizon, Southwest, the Idaho National Guard and Delta showed up in person to volunteer on both days. Many more pilots and individuals also helped by purchasing toys and donating dollars to help fill our bags and family's hearts this year. The Boise Pilots for Kids notably gained financial support from The Community School of Sun Valley, Idaho; and the Community Outreach division of Delta Air Lines from Atlanta, Georgia. Businesses like the Aviator Supply of Boise, Idaho also made this year possible. Thank you to everyone who each played an important role this year to brighten spirits and help make dreams come true.
